Community Fun & Wellness Festival Event this Saturday, August 13th

HUNTSVILLE, Ala–Three of North Alabama’s community health centers, HAPPI Health, Thrive Alabama, and Central North Alabama Health Services, Inc., are hosting the Community Fun & Wellness Festival for the second time in Huntsville.

The festival celebrates the accomplishments of community health centers- while raising awareness of the many services available at their clinics.

The free event will take place on August 13, 2022, from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the Richard Shower’s Recreational Center located at 4600 Blue Spring Rd NW in Huntsville.

Festival activities include a petting zoo, giveaways, free snow cones for the first 100 attendees, food trucks, bounce house inflatables, a DJ, a splash pad, health screenings, and information about community resources!

COVID-19 vaccinations will also be administered on-site for people 12 years of age and older. To register for a COVID-19 vaccine during the event, visit https://www.cnahsi.com/festival/.

The family-friendly event is a joint health center festivity, taking place during National Health Center Week, a decades-old, annual celebration recognizing the innovative, quality care provided by community health centers.

Community health centers are community-driven non-profit clinics that provide comprehensive, cost-effective primary care to all regardless of income level or insurance status. Services rendered at these health centers include integrated dental care, medical care, behavioral health, STI/STD services, chiropractic care, pharmacy services, as well as support services like prescription assistance and insurance enrollment assistance (services may vary by health center).
